Breaking News:
Cooling Doors

Reducing energy consumption is critical to reining in
datacentre costs. That's why the slender Cooling Door System
attaches to the Blade System to remove heat directly at the
source--the back of the blade rack--with chilled water cooling
technology, making it much more efficient than traditional cooling
systems.
At a Glance
Up to 6x more efficient than traditional datacentre cooling systems
Compact, closely coupled design increases effective computer
density by up 70% over in-row cooling
Provides 2.3x the
capacity of competitive passive cooling systems
Requires no
fans or electricity
Removes heat directly from the back of the Sun Blade 6048 Chassis
Uses chilled water cooling technology.
Features and Benefits
Removes up to 100% of generated heat
Can leverage existing
chilled-water datacentre infrastructures
Adds only 6.3
inches to chassis, minimizing datacentre footprint
Up to 35
kW of cooling capacity per door (compare to 5 kW with
traditional raised floor cooling)
Quieter and more
reliable than traditional cooling systems
Chilled Water Cooling
The Cooling Door System removes heat generated by the Blades, using
chilled water from any appropriate source that can maintain a
controlled temperature and flow rate. The Cooling Door System
leverages the air movement generated by the blade chassis fans,
removing heat with no additional fans or electricity.
