New Business Development Executive
Datacentre UK are currently expanding our solution offerings across EMEA, focusing on the latest critical power and cooling technology and software innovation that will add real value to businesses. Working with customers to build new data centres and server rooms, refit or upgrade existing infrastructure or deploy DCIM data centre management software, DCUK’s unique model combines an array of advanced services and expert technical resources, bringing essential skills and helping customers by implementing solutions which meet the requirements of the business.
The focus of the Business Development Executive role is to develop and execute on strategies for attracting new clients. Your goal will be to respond to tender requests, registering new opportunities and prospect companies which are not presently purchasing from DCUK by identifying key buying centers in these companies to sell our services and expand our client base.

Sales experience in technology (services, software or hardware), with evidence of prior success and achievement of sales targets
Wide understanding of the IT Industry and an ability to discuss and understand client business issues and challenges
Ability to articulate in written format responses to clients’ day to day needs and that of RFI/RFP requests
Understand basic financial rules, Profit and Loss (P&L) and cost of sale
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good business acumen, showing evidence of ability to make sound business decisions
Basic understanding of contracts, Terms and Conditions (T&C) and the ability to discuss standard and non-standard T&C
Understanding of products & services offered
Knowledge of Datacentre UK’s value proposition and solution capabilities
Maintain competitive knowledge & focus
Detailed knowledge of Datacentre UK’s products and services
Complete and maintain key vendor product and services training
About the role
Primary focus on new business / new client accounts and an increase YoY in number of new clients
Achieve and exceed GP and revenue targets, increasing year over year
Leverage best practices to drive and successfully sell new business opportunities; build and effectively manage a list of new individuals and new clients to drive business development
Work with internal resources (marketing, technical services, etc.) and external network (including vendors) to identify and penetrate key accounts; quickly build relationships with key stakeholders to drive new business
Identify key decision makers and develop strategic relationships to drive revenue and profit
Formulate and execute on a strategy to sell into net new clients within a defined timescale
Fully understand and be able to articulate the Datacentre UK value proposition to clients
Accurate revenue forecasting
Create and execute a consistent client servicing methodology
